Second up, Al Shux who produced The Blueprint 3’s best cut ‘Empire State Of Mind’ also produced arguably the best cut on Lupe’s last album ‘Hi-Definition’ featuring Snoop Dogg. Not only that, he also gave Sway the ‘Empire Beat’ three years ago but Sway passed on it, taking the ‘Little Derek’ beat instead as well as a host of other cuts. So big up Shux now making major moves.

I read someone make the comparison of Jay’s post retirement career being akin to the washed up Hulk Hogan turning up at Wrestlemania every year to job his way through an awful match before finishing with his leg drop after 20 minutes and i have to agree with that.

Sway should really freestyle over that Empire State Of Mind beat too.

The new jigga album has the wackest selection of beats I think I’ve heard on a rap album in recent years, even worse than Flash’s ‘The Bridge’, but DOA is decent, some fly drum patterns, the rest is weak as FUCK.

Empire state of mind is undeniably the best cut on the BP3 but this statement ” also produced arguably the best cut on Lupe’s last album ‘Hi-Definition’ featuring Snoop Dogg” is pure comedy!!! that joint was pretty much the lamest joint on The Cool by some distance

How sure are you that Al Shux made that beat 3 years ago? A lot going on that Shux stole that beat from people. Not sure who to believe.

i know ’cause I manage Sway and Shux gave him that beat ages ago but Sway passed, it’s a lot more stripped down than the Jigga version though, it’s definitely Shux though
