Too Fresh to be Stale: No Delayin’

We’re not sure what possessed someone to get Nice, Smooth and Teddy Ted together to make a 2011 video for ‘No Delayin’, a track that just celebrated 22 years of being steadfastly amazing, but we’re glad they did. In fact, we hope it’s the beginning of a new trend where artists finally furnish us with videos for classic cuts that never got them in the first place. Nominate the ones you’d most want to see in the comments box – we’d like one for Taking Your Business’ ‘Long Live Hip-Hop’, obviously. Of course, everyone fills out with time, and the days when the Fat Lace crew had cheekbones, clear eyes and soft, downy hair just starting to cover our genitals are long gone, but Nice & Smooth are in remarkably fine fettle. We spent a memorabe night in a car in Manhattan with Greg Nice a couple of years ago, cruising around delis to find a particular brand of fucking Snapple or some shit, and Greg bounced endlessly in the front seat of whatever busted vehicle he drives these days, with no concern for the legs of 6′ 2″ Drew Huge in the back. And why should he? He’s Greg Nice and you’re not.

Okay, okay, we’ve not been that active for a minute but FL die hards stay true to this so just to let you know we haven’t fallen off completely, we’re about to redesign, reconfigure, reboot, re-up, blah blah blah. Just hold tight, you’ll know when we’re ready.

Look out for some Westwood and an all new Freaky Friday this week. We just did a photoshoot with a whole year of Freaky Fridays but we’ll save 11 months of those for the relaunch.

The way many rappers go on – and yes we’re talking about Capone N Noreaga here – you’d think that they were all pro-rape. Well, not so, as this Irish curio proves. In fact, the lead MC here (played by the Hofmeister bear) led a campaign so effective that there hasn’t been any rapes in the world since. And definitely not any by priests.
