Drake “Best I Ever Had” from kwest on Vimeo.
OK, we’re warming to Drake (NH). We’re generally sceptical of new artists who break out the box with ridiculous buzz but we think this guy’s got it. Only thing we’d say is that he needed Weezy and Yeezy to breakout and those influences show on this video and the Young Money tracks but we’re looking forward to hearing what he can come up with on his own merit.
We want to keep you lot happy though so before we waste any more column inches on this dude we’re asking the question…

I’m not tryna listen to rap made by former actors from the Degrassi Jr High redux.

‘Successful’, ‘November 18th’, ‘Uptown’, ‘Best I Ever Had’ (remix with Nicki Minaj especially) and ‘Houstonlantavegas’ are all great and this is the reason he’s easily leapfrogged half-arsed ‘artists’ like Wale, Charles Hamilton etc. who can’t actually make a memorable rap song.

made some good tracks already, the mixtape so far gone is better than recent studio albums by- nas, busta rhymes, kanye, jay-z. I guess just because he’s associated with lil wayne and isn’t produced by j-dilla you get a few haters. I still think Wale, Kid Cudi will drop good music this year, but Drake is ahead of the game at the moment.

Once I got past the first sequence and all those bouncing knockers(wasn’t mad at the clip distorting, putting it in slowmo) I realized the track was lame.
More knocker vids though!!
