Remember when your parents told you in 1986 that hip-hop was a fad? Well, your parents were always idiots. Everyone thinks so. How stupid? Well, you can’t do anything in life these days without hip-hop pushing its damn way in. Even a conversation with a 76-year-old librarian will probably end with her saying ‘you’re cold dissing me’. Hip-hop has been our life for over 20 years, but even we want to catch a break from it sometimes. So, how to get away from it all? Maybe catch a flight somewhere hot and sunny. Take a neck pillow, down a temazepam and then rinse the free bar before watching ‘Notting Hill’, today’s in-flight movie. But just when you think you’ve escaped hip-hop for five bloodclot minutes, up pops this fucker…
