Crack It Up #3
We’re determined to keep upping crack records until Reagan comes back to life and reinjects crack cocaine back into the ghettoes so we can have some nice music again. Here we have a couple of mid 80′s curios, lovable for entirely different reasons. The True Life is notable for being the production debut of one Eric Sadler, although there’s scant evidence of any Bomb Squad audio histrionics here. Dude on the intro flips it : “Life is part of living, and living is part of life.” How deep? Deep as the abyss. However, they did see their way to including a nice sticker with the record, reproduced below. West Coast Crew put out a number of jams on Macola affiliate KMA in 1985 and 1986, and this is one of their finest five minutes of lecturing. However, kids, as always, say no to anti-drugs songs. Pick the pipe up.
