The only one I was lunke warm on was 'bring them home safely'. I just meant that the freedom producers had enjoyed in sampling and beatmaking (the renaissance of which really took hold in 88 and lasted about 6 years) started to wane with the rising costs, making the music steadily change (and arguably get less creative, interesting, etc)...
