It’s Wednesday so here’s an extra special Wildstyle themed Westwood show. You’ll have to check out our Wildstyle vs Beat Street Wikki-Wikkipedia for the audio which we just updated. Keep your comments coming on that post or if you have any Wildstyle or Beat Street stories feel free to comment. If you’ve got any interesting photos or audio, email us at fatlacemagazine@gmail.com. Thanks to everyone who has commented so far with their detailed and frank memories. They make for enjoyable reading.
This week on the Capital Rap Show (HERE) we have stars of Wildstyle, Double Trouble (Lil Rodney C and K K Rockwell). They break down some of the behind the scene stories from the movie as Tim plays some audio from the soundtrack. This interview took place some time after the movie was released but still gives an interesting insight into this classic celluloid.
Also on the show is a remix of Biz Markie’s ‘Just A Friend’, the classic Ultramagnetic MC’s joints ‘Message From The Boss’ and ‘Champion’, Audio Two’s ‘Get Your Mother Off The Crack’ and some UK pressure from Overlord X and Caveman. Special respect to everyone in attendance at the Mandela show at Brixton Academy with Jessie Jackson and Winnie Mandela, one of the jams of year. In this week’s gig guide Eazy E and The NWA Tour is coming to town in May. It features Eazy E, MC Ren, Dr Dre and DJ Yellow (we think he meant Yella) and unconfirmed special guests The D.O.C., Above The Law and Michel’le plus UK acts The Demon Boyz, London Posse and MC Mello. Tickets are £12 in advance. Pure fire. Damn, who went to that event? Another classic show. 24 carat, dookey rope chain, radio ga ga GOLD !

Who went to it? I went to it, co-editor. Well, the Birmingham one anyway. Our mini-bus driver got lost, so we missed all the Brit acts. On the plus side, I caught a Holiday Inn towel that Eazy-E threw into the crowd. I can’t get VD in 3D off that, right?

Err, yes you can get AIDS off towels and you were co-editor, you’ve just been fired for having Eazy-E Disease. I heard there’s a job going at Spinemagazine. You’ll be missed.

We celebrate the Big Dawg every wednesday, plus we didn’t want to rub salt in the wound, turning nifty is hard enough
