Dan Lareg & Drew Huge

Fat Lace’s Dan Large & Drew Huge, yesterday

Just a little reminder of the gems we’ve already laced you with in case you missed them. Comments always appreciated, even on the older posts.

Remember when we revealed the true story behind the much rumoured Top Shelf album and Black Thought’s trans-gender vocal booth antics? The Fat Lace crew were in the studio with Dilated Peoples when they recorded The Platform, we brought you Raaka’s original lyric sheet. Julie staples revealed all when her husband James declared he was ‘Gay for Kanye’. We leaked those Hip Hop Police t-shirts, you had nothing to say, we felt hurt. Hell, we brought you the exclusive of all exclusives, Steady B’s appeal. This is an authentic legal document and gives a fascinating insight into one of the biggest scandals in Hip Hop history. He’s probably going to die in jail, but you don’t care. KRS on Westwood for the first time ever, you took the audio but what what? Back in 1988 you thought this guy was a God MC, now you got nothing to say! John Peel calling LL Cool J a misogynist. Crazy! We received thousands of letters to Fat Lace Magazine back in the day (mainly hate mail from Graphotism) about our Crap Graf, now you skim past it as if your girlfriend forced you to take her to Tate Britain and look at shit oil paintings from 1763. This is REAL art! We don’t even get that much dap for our Photoshop skills. Lastly we still need comments and submissions for our Wildstyle vs. Beat Street Wikki-Wikkipedia. OK, we get it, you just want to see boobs.

On a serious note, thanks for all the feedback so far. If you don’t know, now you know, now go tell a friend. Now.

oooooh back in the magazine days. Before the days of magazines i had to write about hip hop on the BACKS of herbs id just stuck on the iron horse. Thats how ‘old school’ I am Omar. Dont get it twisted. And back then records were made of ‘something like paper’
