Forgot Compton?
What’s with Gorilla Zoe? We know we’re probably meant to pronounce Zoe like ‘toe’, but we just can’t help pronounce Zoe like ‘joey’ – thus making him sound about as menacing as the long forgotten Monkey Karen (R.I.P.) Perhaps, anticipating the piss-taking, this is why the cover contains the best non-ironic (and marginally fruity) grimace since Timothy Dog’s ‘Penicillin On Wax’. Either that or the Diddy made him do it.
Here’s the official radio edit of Timothy Dog’s Compton bashing classic ‘F**k Compton’, called ‘F*rget Compton’. It made all the difference. The massive radio support that the clean edit received propelled the single from #199 to #198 in the Billboard Top 200.

who the f–k is Gorilla Zoe, and I agree I would call him Zoe’s the girl name as well…ahhh Tim Dog, not the greatest MC, but still better than a 50 Cent or a Kanye.
Fuck Compton was great and it certainly made an impact down here on radio (the Weds Nite Jam) and in the clubs, both his first 2 albums are recommended, they have great beats and some amusing rhymes and you can’t go past the rock hard “Dogs Gonna Getcha” for sheer aggressiveness and a track you could rock loud, put your hooodie on and recite the rhymes in a mirror.
